I love your brain. Learned so much from your book and I appreciate your framing of the events of the insane world we live in. But I came to say I've had the honor of meeting Kimberlé Crenshaw and would pay real money to see the two of you in conversation about pretty much anything.
Fear is the paradigm from where whiteness emanates like refuse from a blocked sewer. The conduit is blocked yet no attempt to clear it is undertaken. In fact, the opposite occurs by further clogging it with inane mental processes that appear to legitimize the contorted concepts that attempt to make the sewage somehow palatable.
As fear can elicit self preservative actions, it is the most effective motivator for the inherently fearful.
I would posit the question: what is that which is feared?
The fear is now framed as the means to achieve ‘colorblind equality’, so it appears as a noble endeavor.
I believe ‘colorblind equality’ is doomed to fail. Currently, black folk, despite being a numerical minority, are over represented in the NBA, NFL, Olympic gymnastics, music, acting, etc. A slightly deeper dig reveals the integral part of historical and cultural contributions that black folk provided while under a codified racist, discriminatory, and prejudiced environment.
This has been continuously whitewashed. Will it be revealed under the ‘colorblind equality’ paradigm? That would probably backfire as it would reveal a disproportionate contribution by black folk.
I think this will fulfill the unending cycle of white fear- creating more vacuous sewage.
Trump's attempt to change geographic names reminds me of George Orwell's novel 1984. Governments would rewrite history to suit government purposes. In the novel, there were legions of government workers who were tasked with physically rewriting the history books.
The Obama Presidency really tipped racists into a psychotic frenzy, didn't it.
"Hysteria" is too weak a description.
They have never recovered. It's like they're trying to make sure it never happens again

Ironic, huh
The fact that he said those words in front of statues of Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant would put the most extreme fiction writer to shame
